Learn about theatre whilst working alongside the Dovehouse staff.
BUILD CONFIDENCE – MEET PEOPLE – SOCIALISE – DEVELOP SKILLS
The Dovehouse Youth Team work alongside the Theatre staff in the professional environment of the Dovehouse Theatre. Learning skills and gaining valuable experience in Stage management, lighting, sound, event promotion, box office and publicity whilst working on real events.
DHYT are also given a budget to produce, promote and operate their own events. Any profit from these events goes back in to the budget to allow the team to create more events.
Places on the team are very limited, we meet most Tuesdays and Wednesdays and only when the students feel confident enough, they will be invited to work on events which usually take place on evenings and at weekends.

At present the DHYT are producing a quarterly live music event called Live Lounge. The team book the acts, produce and distribute the publicity, sell tickets, set up and operate all the technical aspects of the event. Two of our team even compare the event.
